Girly.
Nice to seem some progress.
What you should have done is make the tank in to a tide pool. Where you have high, low, etc. That would be cool.
P.S when are the fish coming.

WELCOME BACK

Hopefully my first one will be this week....swf just happens to be out of stock of the jawfish

I'm not one for conspiracy theories...but I bet Scott saw this thread and decided that since this Meowzer chick is a weirdo, he would list jawfish as out of stock. I bet they have hundreds of these right now.

Yeah MEOWZER! Get your stupid thread off the internet. You're clogging cyberspace and it is sooo obvious that nobody wants to see more pictures of this tank! Why would you start a thread about your tank to get thoughts, opinions, answers, and encouragement from fellow hobbyists that have kept nano aquariums when this is your first one? You shouldn't waste everyone's time by putting up a thread and forcing them to read through the entire thing. Why would you do this? You are a very inconsiderate and terrible person!
Just kidding. The tank is coming along nicely. So I must say...

I know it's better that I thought

Except it hides

I tested the water before I added the fish....everything tested 0...
How long should I wait before I test again? To make sure I have no increases

Just do the ammonia and trites once a day for the next oh 3 days. Then once again at the end of a week. Should give you a good indication of what's happening.

Well a couple of things come to mind here. Feeding the tank now, fish doing their duty now. But mostly is there a flow issue? Algae, as you know Meowzer needs two things, nutrient and light. Growing there in those places makes me think there are nutrient allowed to settle there. Also how is the new skimmer performing? Getting any skimmate yet?

Okay, when was the tank set up again? How long has it been up? Did you ever get any green algae bloom?
Tank is young, not mature at all, changes are going to contiune to happen. Just keep doing what you know to be right, water changes, filter floss changes, blowing the rock work with turkey baster to get detritus in the water column for removal by water change and by mechanical filtering. No more adds for a couple of weeks. Let things settle in. You are doing good. Test results are good. Skimmate looks good. Livestock is good.
You've added bioload, of course the biofilter has to catch up and tank cuc has to get working a little harder.

OK...Thanks...I know there are a lot of changes yet to occur...but I never had this with my big tank

I adjusted the PH on the right down some so it is moving the sand lightly...so we'll see if that helps
SOOO you think the amount of food I am giving is ok???
