this happened to me in my 55 gallon tank. I used 60 pounds of live sand and 60 pounds of live rock and threw in a shrimp. I had absolutly no cycle. I waited to months though till I added my first fish and still nothing. Maybe you got REALLY GOOD QUALITY ROCK.
