Just remember though, initial post mentioned nitrites. Was always my belief you needed to let nitrites "cycle" and become nitrates (although water changes should dilute them). Then you could dilute/remove nitrates with water changes. with water changes. Just my opinion, Fester.

Been there, done that. Never could figure out why it was happening. I've had this happen with both 175 watt MH and 250 watt MH. Eventually it stopped in all cases, but unable to conclusively determine what caused it nor why it stopped on its own.

Pesronally I used eggcrate (light diffuser) material as "top" to keep air flow high in my canopy w/ twin 250 watt Mh cool enough. Of course, being in West TX had to invest in a chiller anyway.
