good score. Leave your tank the way it is. You don't even need a skimmer so your filtration is perfect at this time. Of course having one is an added bonus though. The amount of live rock and sand is more than sufficient. I bet a lot of ppl are hating on you right now. Good score

those are yellow polyps. they are photosynthetic but they'll also catch food floating around. I never feed them anything. They are really hardy and will multiply like crazy.

i don't have a skimmer and i don't think you really need one. It's not because of financial reasons or anything either. Of course it's not gonna hurt to have one though. If you're not sure about purchasing one just yet hold off on it for now.

just go to home depot or lowes and buy one of those "daylight" spiral light bulbs. It's like 2-3 dollars. Mine is just 5500K and it works perfectly well. I probably leave mine on for 16hrs a week at the most. If the chaeto gets too big just throw some away or give it away.
