Can anyone tell me how long is neccessary to keep the metal halide lights on a reef tank? I am trying to cut back on my electric. Right now i have them on for 11-12 hours a day.

Purple up has worked great for me, i already have a lot of coraline growth after just 7 weeks.

i am planning on setting up a nano tank out of a 10 gallon aquarium. i have looking for reef lighting and the shortest fixture i have found is 24": my tank is 20". does anyone know where to get lights for this size tank?

my coral beauty has had long strings? coming out of him for several weeks. i was told by lfs that it had worms and was given a bottle of prazipro to treat it. it has not helped me. any suggestions? :help:

You have to have some Coaline Algae in your aquarium. such as from a piece of lr and it will grow on its own.
