    cleaner wrasses?

What I have done in the past was got one when my fish was sick with like ick or something, and when the fish were all better, I just took the wrasse back to the store. But I wouldn't want to keep it knowing that it would just die.

Hippo Tang lying on it's side

If it looks as though it is not breathing rapidly, then it will be fine, if he is breathing very hard, you probably have a problem. I hope everything is alright!!! ~~Megan

    End to our hobby?

I would rather my fish be captive bred, than taking them from there natural enviroment. I do not feel that I would be at all deprived because I don't get as rich of a selection for my aquarium if all that I could have were fish that are easily captive bred. If you feel like you would be...

    Eclipse Tanks

Only one of my ecplises is acrylic, the other is still tempered glass. I am not an expert at this kind of stuff, but I was told that you can't drill into tempered glass.

    End to our hobby?

I am afraid to say that I kinda agree with conservation. I mean, we are not helping to put back in the wild what we take out. Look at Killer Whales that are taken from the wild, there dorsal fins flop over, but not in the whales that were captive breed, because they don't know any different...

    Eclipse Tanks

I have an ecplise, and the only thing I had to do extra was put in the two new lights to keep the corals alive, and i added nothing new to the tank. I worked fairly well, but I really don't know how to take care of corals. I am also going to be making a mirco reef with an ecplise. I am not...

changing from crushed coral to sand or nothing at all?

I think that it is your call, whether you want to get a new filtration system and the sand,or nothing, or you could keep the coral and have it on top of your leather. I think you just kinda got to decide.

    water temparature

Yeah, take it out, and its okay to keep the tank in the 80's, but not if you have corals, and it really shouldn't get abopve like 84 ~~Megan

    Marine Biologists!!!!!

I am starting to look very heavily into what I want to do with my future, and of course with my new found love of marine aqurium's, I was starting to look into Marine Biology. It would really help me out if you all who are already in this field gave me alittle into what they do as a marine...

    Dragon Wrasse

I was looking into getting a dragon wrasse, the fish guy said that they are really cool, but after awhile, they will eat inverts, and you have to be careful with who you put in with them. He didn't think that it would work with my false gramma. But otherwise they are supposed to get along with...

Hey all you experts (and experts in training!)

Thanks for the tips. When I went hunting for my new fishies, my friend had a tiny Koran angel, and I knew that they would get big, but for now it would be okay. (And I got it for free, so I decided, what the heck) but if it isn't going to be really nice and gentle with my other fish, then I...

    Koran??

I have been looking at a Koran angel recently, and I know that it will grow quite large, but right now it is very small, about the size of my baby clown. Now, this website says that koran's could become aggressive, and pick at inverts, but if I keep it with docile tankmates and inverts from...

SALT ONE i got a question for ya!?

Sorry, I'm not Salt One, but I am 17, and all I did when I noticed my fish bill going up and up, I just went and got a part time job at the LFS, so I got a pay check, and 30% discount on supplies and fish.
