I woke uo this morning and turned on my lights to my tank. I was looking around when I saw my purple mushroom have something coming out of his mouth and white stuff curled up around the outside of it. What was it. After a while the thing from its mouth disappeared.

I have some little mushrooms in my new 75 gal tank that I got from my friend. I closed the tank off from light for a couple of days inorder to remove planaria. Some mushrooms are open but not all the way open. Do I need t tank and how.o feed the mushrooms aand featherdusters in my
