    Heater issues

If you left the pin out, turning the knob does not change the heat range. Pull the pin, turn the knob all the way up, replace pin, then turn knob all the way down, it should shut off. If not , then email the company (address is on the paperwork) and they may be able to help. Mine are working as...

    Heater issues

I used Jaegers years ago and they were top of the line then. just recently bought 4 200w eheim-jaegers, using 2 in my 125 and 1 in a 30 qt and had a few setup problems but they are working fine now. Do not bother going by the dial. I had to recalibrate all three of them (haven't even taken the...

We've got reds, greens, yellows, and multi-colored fd's that came on the live rock. They are small (<1/2 "diameter) and they just grow here and there. Give it time and you should start seeing them eventually if you have LR. A lot of ours looks like Marshall Is LR, but we have some fiji and fl...

    Timers

Check out your local home improvement store for Intermatic model#DT-17 digital timers. They do run on 2 small watch batteries, but have no current overflow and a relay inside so they don't harm flourescent ballasts. We have 5 of these on 3 different tanks and they are great. Only paid 17.99 each...

    I have a few questions...complicated..and I am not trained

Am currently using a DIY kalkreaktor inline with my topoff water. I have an auto-topoff setup (DIY) that when the float drops to allow water into the system, it first goes through the reactor and gets saturated with limewater. I do not add any vinegar to the water yet. Ph stays at 8.4, and due...

Anyone ever heard of an ecoaqualizer?

We've got one on our 125 reef and the water does stay clear, but I really don't know for sure if it is actually working or not. The fish are healthy, and the corals look good. Still got 140 some days left on the warranty, so I'll give it at least most of that and see what happens. It was just...

Use a garlic press to strain it down as fine as you can get it, or puree it in a blender, then I mix it with hikari freeze dried artemia, and ground freeze dried ocean plankton. The fish LOVE it.
