    OT - Universities in US

When looking at degree programs related to religious areas of study you may also want to look at the theological stance of the department. There are a lot of universities that offer religious degree programs but they run the gamut from very fundamental to the very liberal. There are also many...

This may not be exactly what your looking for but look for either moon rock or reef rock by Carib Sea. It 's not very shapely but you can get for around $1 per pound, minus shipping.

HELP - Something terrorizing my tank

I knew a guy who could not keep anything for several months. We later learned that he initially washed the tank with Dawn. Could there have been anything like this involved at any point in time, rocks, sand, tank, etc. (particularly with the rock and sand)? Just a thought.

    Sea lillies on live rock?

Thanks for the ID. Knowing what to look for really helps in identifying organisms better (I found a species ID and information on its natural history). Thanks again.

    OT: guess who is...

Best of luck. After spending TENS of thousands of dollars on a private school education and earning a BS in psychology, religion and Spanish, I am starting part-time next semester for a degree in chemistry and physics. Again good luck and never stop learning.

    Sea lillies on live rock?

The only movement is at times a slight tilt of the "head" and less frequently the tenticles may fold together like an umbrella folded backwards. There is also no tube and their height does not change. Here is another photo for comparison. These are the best the camare (G2) will do without an...

    Sea lillies on live rock?

Anyone have an ID for these. They resemble miniature sea lillies, but they are only a few millimeters tall. I have others photos but this is the best of the closest.

The top photo is a side view (the right side of the opening in the second photo). For example, rotate the third pic 90 degrees horizontally to the left and you have the...

Just to update. System contains a 10 gallon tank and 5 gallon refugium, 20 lb. live sand and 15 lb. rock, both from the Gulf. The refugium is presently empty except for sand. I've added 20-25 ml of phyto each day since Thursday, when I added sand and rock. Thursday evening ammonia read .6...

    Turkey Wing?

Does this look like a turkey wing? These aren't the best pics but without removing the rock or moving the tank I can't do much better.

feeling thirsty - someone got a nano-six pack they want to break out and share???

I'm keeping regular readings for pH, ammonia and nitrite. I'll post those when done. Depair because I regret not following my "first love" and choosing fishkeeping only as a hobby and not a career. After 15+ years (I lose count) and countless tanks it has become a second career, just not...
