No personal experience here, but from what I read on these boards a 90 is not big enough for a ray. If you do get one, it will need lots of space, so less rock. I'd fill the sump/fuge up with rock, be sure to have a very good skimmer, and leave it at that.

The pump shoots water into your skimmer so it can skim. I don't think the coralife 65 (at least the one i have) came with one. The skimmer is 4.25 x 5.5 x 20.75. The pump will probably double the footprint, but it can be placed with flexible tubing, so as long as your chamber is at least 10...
