I have a fluval 405 and a mag 350. I hate my mag 350 I think im going to toss it. I just picked up a protein skimmer and a wet dry system system. Thats all I will run for my future coral setup plus power heads.

Try sanding it down by hand dont go crazy then put a couple coats of rustolem(spelling) spray paint, the paint covers everything and will help prevent rust. Total cost for project should be $10.00. I do a lot of auto work and I live in Ohio we dump tons of salt on the road in the winter!

I would use wood that way you can paint it or stain it and it will look nice.

Okay thanks for the input, what about vho's? Will they run too hot, I know they run a lot cooler than mh, I can get 440 watts of light output. I wanted to get some lps and softies and maybe as well as a ritt anemone? Any other input would be great.
