    New fish in QT/Ammonia up

Beth & Sep. - Thank you both for such excellent advice. Beth, I appreciate you clearing that up for us. I've still got a lot to learn and definitely apply all the suggestions. This board has been a wonderful, continuing source of information that I haven't been able to find elsewhere. Thanks...

    New fish in QT/Ammonia up

Thanks. I'll pick some up tomorrow and I've got water ready to change. Will these levels damage the fish? Thanks again.

    New fish in QT/Ammonia up

I recently set up a 10 gl. QT tank and cycled it with a cocktail shrimp. Ammonia & Nitrite were 0 and, after a 25% water change, Nitrates were 15. Last Friday, 1 and 1/2 weeks after the cycle completed, I purchased a bi-color psuedochromis and put him in the QT. Tuesday eve I tested the water...

I was going to see it tomorrow, but now I think I'll just wait for it to come out on pay-per-view.

    Caulerpa in your DT

So does this mean I need to keep an eye on it in my fuge? The Cheato I had in the fuge for the last two months slowly disintegrated. LFS (usually very trustworthy) recommended using grape caulerpa. He said to keep it in the fuge with the lights on 24/7 - which is what I'm doing. Should I expect...

    Going Crazy

Circulation is from a Coralia 2 and a Rena Filstar XP3 canister filter. I don't know if you would include the Coralife 65 skimmer or the pump from the fuge. As far as ALK, I don't know if I have this down pat yet. If we're talking about a KH carbonate hardness test, the latest readings are 8 dkh...

Just when you thought your missing fish was dead!

Sorry for your loss, too. But thanks for sharing. My diamond goby disappeared yesterday. The night before he was fine. But he wasn't there for the morning head count, not there for last night's feeding and not there this morning. I keep eggcrate on all the time, but I will go back and double...

    Going Crazy

There are absolutely no remains. We have lost 2 diamond gobies, at different times, only one in the tank at a time. A Bangaii Cardinal and a 6 line wrasse that actually died in a QT tank, we took him out because he started acting odd and one of his fins was bitten off. Everyone was extremely...

    Wrasse Update Help Please

Our wrasse is just getting worse. It's too sad to watch him so we have made the decision to euthanize him. After much research on the subject it seems the most humane way is clove oil and grain alcohol. Thanks for your help in trying to save him.

Sorry it took so long. I had to resize it. Nothing on him looked out of the ordinary.
