i tryed that way in both tanks the problem is that we both have tangs that love to eat the cheato. my foxface also really seeems to like eating the cheato to so it went quickly. still working on the 5.5 pod tank probly getting the items i need this weekend.

sounds like you should be fine. i always just use regular SW that i get from the LFS and let it sit in the tank like 3 or 4 day s before i know i need it. as far as medecine i dont really keep anything on hand cuz you could get hit with anything. but sounds like you got what you need for a desent QT

bleach i would think is really bad. i would use white vinager. that is the only cleaning agent i let get anywhere near my fish tank. anything else i think might kill fish.

very true but the finished product(if you can ever call a tank finished) is worht the wait.

yea i can tell i just set up a nano 2 months ago and i went threw the same thing but i waited it out and got all the right stuff, insteed of messing up like i did with my other tank(stupid tap water, CC, cheapo protein skimmer) but all is well now
