    ? reguarding mushroom leather

For some reason Keifers is logged in on my computer and I just noticed. So for those of you who know his tank and wonder why it looks different, that is why. Sorry.

    Ich (MICU journal)

The spots were gone on all the fish and then came back only on the angel. No spots at all on the tail though, that is why I wonder if that is something else going on there Not sure if it will matter, we will see if she survives.

    Fish are safe pics added.

Glad you are okay. Personally, I would start using Stability and keep some prime on hand. If you use the Stability as a preventative measure it will help when/if the ammonia spike comes. I normally don't like to add any chemicals to my tank but it has been a life saver for me a couple of times.

Kiefers wife here---I am pretty sure the spot on her top fin is because she kept hiding in a barnacle and getting stuck. You could see her rubbing that spot while trying to get out and I mean she was really stuck, it took a long time for her to get out. It is hard to see in the picture but her...

    WorrBaller's 40b of AWESOMENESS!!!

We are always interested in pictures! Glad the maintence is working out for you. "Working" on the tank can be relaxing and it sounds like you need some time to enjoy things and relax a bit. I would much rather clean my tank than my house--sometimes it shows to and I am okay with that.

    i need some help ladies

Just throwing this out there.........I love jewelry but I would much rather have a romantic vacation with my hubby for a 10 year anniversary and maybe buy a small piece of jewelry as a momento. Plus I love planning vacations, 4 months to plan together is always fun. A week in Hawaii or the...

    Refugium or Skimmer

Flower--I realized I said in a previous post "that I never got around to removing the chaeto". That didn't come out the way I meant, I harvest it, just never removed it altogether from the sump. Even though in theory I shouldn't need it with the ATS, I had plenty of room so I figured it...

    Refugium or Skimmer

I have been harvesting the cheato and I do about 28 gallon water changes every 2 weeks. I've had FOWLR tanks for 25 years now and only once ran a skimmer for a short period of time. Honestly the skimmer was to small for the tank but it pulled alot of gunk out. I had a few soft corals at the...

    Refugium or Skimmer

Hhhmmmm....I have chaeto growing out of my eyeballs and still haven't noticed a difference in the nitrates. My ATS is in my sump and I never got around to removing the chaeto so it has light 18 hours a day, it is going crazy now. I have been leaning toward the skimmer for two reasons. 1) My...

    Refugium or Skimmer

The goal is to reduce nitrates. I have a birthday coming up and can only get ONE---would you recommend a good skimmer or a refugium? I have a high bioload and feed heavily. I set up a algae turf scrubber about 4 months ago, the nitrates have dropped a small amount, but nothing significant...

72 Gallon Bow Front Stocking list

I had always heard how horribly mean the neon dottybacks were and I was nervous about putting one in my tank. I purchased tank raised neon dottyback and he has been a model citizen, never one sign of aggression. I have heard some people say they have had much better luck with the tank raised...

pics 100 gal mixed reef i year old

It is hard to tell on our test kits what your nitrates are once they are over 80. It had been super dark red (guessing 80-100) for several months and today when I checked it looked like between 40-80. I just did a 25gal water change and replaced all my bioballs with live rock rubble prior to...
