    It might be possable to tee of of the over flow into the refuge and the have that overflow through a bulkhead into the sump. Just put your refuge a little higher then the water level in the sump.

    I was wondering the same thing. I don't think that they can charge us for the modems. I found having the static ip was handy for server testing. now have to go back to verizon as non of the other dsl providors in my area offer static ip and i still have my old verizon modem anyway. :mad:

    You would most likey need a booster pump for the RO unit. I currently have the same problem in my house. I've been looking the units from Kent Marine.

    I've been having good luck with mine also. He seems to ignore everyone in the tank. Also some what shy. So make sure you have lots of hiding places.

    No, the bag is labled Southdown tropical playsand.

    See if they carry Yardrite tropical playsand. it is the same sand in differn't packaging, as Southdown and Yardrite are the same company. Some parts of the country carry it and some don't. You may want to call around.

    Do you have a glass top on your tank?

    My lights are also mounted on the underside of my hood about 4 - 5 inches above the water. Have a 3x96watt pc retro kit. Do get alittle salt creep on them that i have to remove when cleaning algae off of glass. Still better than having to remove top to wash it evey week.

    What are the best powerheads?

    Maxi-jets are my favorite. I do have a couple of rios that haven't given me any trouble either. the Zoom powersweeps are terriable had three break. They get 3 thumbs down.

    No glass on mine either. Better heat exchange without it and one less thing to clean all the time. May ceiling grid egg crate to keep jumpers in. not that anyone has jumped yet.:)

    Rane, If your using tap water from the city water supply which most likely is part of the United Water system you may be getting traces or Clorine (spelling may be off) in your tank as they treat their water with it in the Ordell treatment plant. RO would be a much better choice. I was using...

    I need quiet!

    On my CPR overflow I ended up removing the pre-filter sponge that sits in the bottom of the over flow. I seams a lot quiter without it.
