Whats the easiest fish to breed?

Clown fish are the easiest SWF to breed. You need to have a seperate setup dedicated to it. If you just want some easy money or fish to trade for lfs stuff, breed African Cichlids. A pair of Brachardis will make you some $ with very little effort or expense.

    My Two Sebae Anemones

I kept one for over 10 years under two NO 40w bulbs, a Hagen AquaGlo and a Magtinic. It grew to fill the whole open area on the bottom.

    My new Undulated Trigger!!

He won't look so lonely when he gets bigger. If you pay enough attention to him he'll act like a puppy bobbing around happily when you walk in the room. Be careful hand feeding him, if he misses by a little he can easily take your finger with one bite.

Any advise for Decorator Spider Crabs?

They are quite capable of killing unsuspecting fish. In my tank, one apparently knew which fish were the most expensive and killed them in that order. I got so mad that I took him back to work at the warehouse. We put him in a bare tank and poured in a bunch of pellet food. After he had...

    Black on a foxface's . . . er, face?

Richness of color is often a sign of health as well as how comfortable a fish is with his surroundings. Foxfaces in particular may show varying degrees of night colors in the relatively bare tank of a lfs.

Is there such thing as a red sea reef aquarium?

I love Red Sea specimens. Most places (around here anyways) will have them marked as Red Sea on the tank. The salinity, as well as the temp, is on the high side. I kept them at 1.024 and 82 degrees.

    i am ich paranoid! help

I agree with puffers, gobies, and eels, or any scaless fish, but tangs, angels and butterflies? I always kept them (and every fish except the ones mentioned) in coppered tanks at the warehouse I worked at. A lot of the larger more expensive fish, like show size Nasos would be in there for at...

How far have you moved your tank?

I used to show fish. I have driven up to 3 hours, set up a bare 20 gallon, left them in it for 3 days, then brought them home. Most of the stuff in your tank travelled at least 24 hours after it was collected, followed by another long flight to the state where you got it. Just get some coolers...

    whats your favorite salt?

Well, the Eric Borneman study concluded that Reef Crystals was the best, Instant Ocean the worst. Kinda funny cuz one company makes them both.

How do you guys keep anemones without them eating your livestock?

Avoid anemones that are from different oceans than the fish because they sometimes don't recognise them.
