    I started using this stuff 3 days ago. I put a capful(5ml) in every day(46 gallon). It says it immediately raises dissolved calcium levels. My calcium level has not gone higher than 340. How long does it actually take for it to raise? I dont get it.

    Some test kits are known for showing a .25 reading in ammonia. Try another ammonia test to see what that reads. Which kit are you using?

    I agree with treybomb about not putting any live stock in there until the cycle is complete. I wouldnt worry too much about the salinity right now. You can raise it when the cycle is over and you do a big water change to lower your nitrates. If your going reef tank than keep your salinity...
