    Sea Hare? Nudibranch? Dangerous hitchiker?

Ok after seeing your pictures that is definately what it is. It is just completely covered up with the black stuff. I haven't seen it on the glass so I havent seen the white foot. It has stayed on the rock. What is the black stuff? Is it a type of snail? How do I care for it?

    Sea Hare? Nudibranch? Dangerous hitchiker?

I think you are right nygel. The pictures do look similar. The white stuff I was referring to was on his back though, not the bottom side. I think it was just receding the stuff that he pushes over his shell back inside and the shell was white looking. Who knows. I am pretty sure that is it...

    Meet Godzilla the Strawberry Hermit

    Sea Hare? Nudibranch? Dangerous hitchiker?

Yeah... definately not a cowry. No shell. It looks like a sea slug that is shaped like a cowry haha.

    Meet Godzilla the Strawberry Hermit

I don't know if any of you guys have had a strawberry hermit crab, but these are amazing. It is a little smaller than the size of my fist. Here are a few pictures.

    Sea Hare? Nudibranch? Dangerous hitchiker?

I am not exactly a newbie but I didn't know where else to post. I got bit of live rock today with a bunch of cool hitchikers (mushrooms, xenia, brittle star) and also one that I am not sure about. As much as I can tell it appears to be a sea hare. It is about 2 inches long and an inch wide...

    Test Kit

Salifert doesn't use color charts at all. They use a titration method where you count the number of drips before it changes to a different color. It is pretty much idiot proof.

Don't really know about the saltwaterU thing. I didn't go to the last one. If you are just getting started in saltwater though it might be a good idea.

    LFS in Atlanta Area

I will not be able to go this Tuesday because I am going to see my girlfriend perform but I should be at the next one. You can expect from the meetings to meet a lot of other area hobbyists, some just starting out and others that have a wealth of knowledge. Many of them will bring pieces of...

Marine Fish in Marrieta is great. They have a ton of stuff, all healthy and give a HUGE discount (30% off) to Atlanta Reef Club members. Also Poseidon's Reef is great too. It's a hike up I-985, but well worth it. They actually have marine fish in quantity and quality, and at a fair price. The...

To be honest, you get a lot more bang for your buck if you order your clean up crew from an online store like this one. Whenever you are looking in to trying corals go to Cappuccino Bay. Their coral holding tanks rival anything I have ever seen. They could charge admission if they wanted.

Yes, I know lots of very good ones. Let me know what exactly you are looking to buy as different stores are the best in different areas (dry goods, corals, fish etc). Also check out the Atlanta Reef Club. They offer a 10% discount at many of the Atlanta LFS with membership.

    A Fish Named Nemo

Actually, my current gf calls the clownfish Nemo 2 because of this funny story (my ex was not the sharpest pencil in the drawer): I had gone away for the week with my ex and when we returned to my apartment she went over to the tank and says, "Where is Nemo? I don't see him." The tank lights...
