    scooter blenny starving?

I had one before that would not eat any frozen or prepaired food. Only small live critters from rock. You may have to get more LR because you don't have enough to keep it alive as it is. If you need more room tak out some of your base rock and add more LR.

IMO and many others that lighting is not strong enough to support a anemone. You really should run MH lighting for a anemone.

    lighting question!

hun25, your best bet is to set up a (diy) lighting system. (do it yourself) You can get the best lighting for the lowest price that way. Do you have woodworking, and electrical skills? If not do you know anyone that does, like a friend or father? If so let me know and I can give you some more...

    Skimmer Question?

It takes a while for your skimmer to break in so I would just leave it for now. As far as getting a anemone, You really need to wait to get one until your tank is well established and stable. Besides that what kind of lighting is on your tank?

    Hey Guys

Ok, you can leave the cc in there if you want but it will be alot more work to keep it clean. I like using a DSB (deep sand bed) for many reasons. Do a search to learn more about DSB's. What you add to your tank depends on what you want to do with the tank. There are a lot of options there as...

    lighting question!

hun25, first of all welcome to the board. What is the price on the 8x54 T5 set up? I have never used T5's before so I can't really give advice on them. But I do know that alot of people use MH's and you might be able to upgrade to MH lighting for the same price.

    Adding sand?

You dont have to clean the sand, you can get some inverts that claen it for you. It will also help break down wastes from fish. In many cases having a sand bed will make your tank more stable IMO and by them telling you not to do it could lead to you haveing to buy more fish down the road.

    Advice For New Hobbist

while your tank is sitting overnight you should add your heater to start heating your water. Add your sand and rock whenever you like. But before adding your rock make sure your salinity is in the correct range. There is really no diff between uncured or cured lr as it pertains to adding it to a...

    Adding sand?

My advice is to add sand a little at a time. The best way to add it to a already set up tank would be to rinse the sand, and then pour it through a piece of pvc pipe. The reason for the pipe is to keep the sand from going all over the place. You can control where it goes, just keep it close to...

    Advice For New Hobbist

First make sure all your salt is dissolved. More than likely you will think its all dissolved and over the next day or so it will rise a bit, but it's not really a big deal. Add your sand, then your rocks. I'm assuming your adding cured lr bacause your talking about adding a shrimp. Make sure...
