perhaps I didn't explain properly. The RG was a new purchase. As a new purchase he was Q'd for 6 weeks with no signs of illness. After Q, he was acclimated properly and put into display which was fishless for 6 weeks. I'm perplexed.thx.

By my count you're - 50 inches or more of adult size fish. I would definatley stay away from getting the bird wrasse and would re-think what you already have. Good luck.

125 s/b fine but you should also not overcrowed emperor sincw it does get to 16 inches....s/b stocked sparringly and be only large angel in the tank. Good luck.

I suggest waiting 4 more weeks as a precaution. A total of 6 weeks will ensure no pathogons exist. nothing to do w/ nitrate level. Of course he can take the chance and add fish now....slowly but I'd air on the side of caution and patience......wish I had in the past.....do now.

I have doubts that high nitrates wiped out your tank. need to know what the livestock symptoms were before they perished. as far as tap water....test and if all parameters are good, make sure you filter before using and s/b fine. RO water is preffered but not necesary to have long term success...
