Turkey basters get my vote as best overall gadget for a tank. I also like the extra long handled tooth brushes with a brush at each end with an angle to them, and normally sold with a tube of tooth paste for dogs. Out of 5 coralife super skimmers form the 65 to the 220 that I have up and in use, I do not have one bubble diffuser box in use on them. Some are sump mounted others are hob. I use foam sleeve from mag drive pumps and keep my outlet tube above water level

I have had good luck cutting a scab patch to place on top of broken brace and solvent weld it to the tanks frame and busted brace. Weldon solvent works fine for this purpose. It can be made from acrylic very easy.

Let it be and do nnot worry about it. If it is aipstasia its going to be some time until it gets to the point of being a problem and if its a crown from a small tube worm it wioll stay this size. Either way I certainly would not worry about it at this stage of the game.

Ah, one bubble I wul d certianly think one crab would be more than sufficient. Donl;t forget you will more tha likely have to start feeding yet more additions regularly once the "bubble" is gone. Turkey baster works wonders for this stuff. Correct water / light / nutrition conditions and odds...

For what it costs you can double thatprice and make a heap of fresh frozrn food from scratch. Those little cubes and packets of frozen are just to darn expensive. I have seen a lot of the cubes be more frozen liquid than substance, but its still probbaly better than flake foods IMHO.

Don't underestimate them, Yes they do work and its easy to find out if they work or not. They are a visual indicator and I have stated time and time again they are super for starting a tank in the cycle as it will go through allthe color changes as ammonia agoes up and levels off and then comes...
