That looks like bubble algae to me, do some searches on that. I think emerald crabs are known for snacking on that stuff if you want to get rid of it.

    Is this a condy?

I nabbed this guy at the lfs for $3 last week, they had about 20 of them most of which seemed to be having problems (most of their tentacles were damaged). The one I picked out had some damage but was a nice color. It didn't look that great when I first introduced it (hence the discount), but it...

    Id please, if possible

Im probably up for that barry, I plan on catching him in the next couple days. I dont want to do a fw dip, as I got some xenia or something (my first coral) growing on the same rock. I'll figure something out tho. Also, how I would I ship him out? Would a small rock/triple bagged method work? Im...

Oh man, that sucks. I have no idea how I am going to get him outta there. I'll try the 20oz plastic bottle method tonight. I really appreciate this help on this, I fed him last night with some carnivore pellets thinking he was an ok resident, LOL. He seemed to like emm so I'll try using that as...

After more research, I think my #2 critter is actually a crab. Possibly a paguritta? Can anyone validate this? And do you have any advice on what I should feed him?

And the other is tan and black and feeds 24x7. I appreciate the info!! From what Im reading they are good to have(?). But can...

Ok, I just started my tank up. I bought 50lbs of cured figi for my 46 bow. When I got it home it really seemed to be "alive", like very very alive tons of pods and other bugs, worms, dusters, and things I would put in the "other category".. Just wanted to see if anyone could help with id'ing...

    Compatibility

Correct me if I am wrong.. With maroon clowns you always want to pair a larger fish with a smaller fish. Unlike other clowns species they are known to keep fighting and never pair up. From what I have read, with maroons specificly, its better if you start with a larger(older) one (or buy one...

    Filtration Opinions/Questions

Yep, im starting to think the can would be useless to me.. atleast for now. The eheim plus can's look cool, and I would think it would be beneficial for pod growth.. but I dont really need to worry about that until I start populating the tank. Which will not be for a few weeks. I think I'll get...

    Filtration Opinions/Questions

Hello all, My first post! I bit the bullet and bought a tank/stand this weekend. I have been doing research for a few months and for my situation a 46 bow seems to be the best choice for right now. Im in a 3rd floor apt right now and I usually move yearly so a larger tank is just not feasible...
