    When snails die?

definitely, i pull the dead snails out, and leave them outside for a few days. then i rinse the shells with a water hose to remove dead snail, and then reuse the shells. dead snails can really foul your water. imo.

    seachem reef carbonate users..

yeah, i'm not too crazy on the reef carbonate, but the other stuff is good imo. i just like the kent liquid probuffer alot better. the stores were just out of it, and ordered the powdered form (which i don't care for). the reef carbonate was given to me as a liquid alternative to the kent...

    seachem reef carbonate users..

i'm kinda weary of seachem right now, i'm wondering if it's contributing to some red cyano i'm seeing lately. i've been using seachem carbonate, instead of the normal kent probuffer. i just got another bottle of the kent stuff today, but has anyone had experience with seachem and cyano? i'm...

    Skimmer friendly supplements?

i'll bet its the reef plus also. that stuff always seems to come right out with the skimmer. i think the kent essential elements is okay on the skimmer. i use it, and don't notice it getting pulled out much, not like the seachem reef plus anyway.. jmo

    weird question?

i'd say skip the test, just buy a copper sponge and use that for a while. it will pull out any copper you may have, even if undetectable. i wouldn't waste the money on a test though. jmo. :)

    Not a good night!

also monica, if the tap water is bothering you like it should be, maybe check into some ro from the fish store, or also maybe purchase bottled distilled. also, just my personal opinion on this, i think if you are going to get your own filter, go ahead and get the ro/di instead of just the ro...

    Not a good night!

i'd get a water report, from your water company. there may be contaminants in the source water? also, when you switched to the dsb, did you remove the cc? you shouldn't have that high of nitrates if you have a good dsb? i thought that was the purpose? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif"...

    bleached red brain..

my roomate's red open brain is now white and green. will the color ever return back to red, or is it on it's way out? it doesn't seem to like to eat meaty foods too well either. other than the color, and not eating, it looks ok. no spots or tears? any help appreciated. thanks.. :)
