    which one? (triggers)

The blue throat is going to be much more compatable in a reef tank. Nigers can displasy extreme aggression once they put some size on, whereas blue throats are a more mild mannered fish. If you're setting up a reef, I'd go with the BT over the niger.

Post more info, starting with all water parameters including any detectable ammonia/nitrites, nitrates, temp, salinity and pH. How big is this fish, what else is in the tank?

    Need help with identifying.

More than likely a bristle worm of some sort. Harmless. You likely have many more. They are good detrivores and will help clean up uneaten food.

The first time I had s e x I was terrified. I was all alone! I told my kid about the birds and the bees. He told me about my wife and the mailman! In high school, my daughter was voted most likely to conceive. Thank you! Thank you very much! I'll be here all week!

    Fire fish treatment

What are you treating for? Copper can suppress immune function, and some fish don't tolerate it well. If you're treating for ich, hyposalinity is safe and effective.

Jawfish help please sick or prego?

Describe the set-up you have for these fish. How deep is the substrate and are there lots of small rubble pieces/shells they can use for their den? I would not quarantine these fish just yet. Moving them after they've settled is often stressful. You might be seeing signs of spawning. When mine...

    Jawfish breeding?

I had a mated pair that spawned a few times. The male was a bit larger. during spawning, the male developed a small dark spot on each side of it's head near the gill. This went away after a time. The male holds the eggs in his mouth. They become very secretive during this time and rarely come...

blue angel in qt scratching against the bottom of the tank...

I'd suggest a couple of big water changes using aged/aerated saltwater. 15-20 gallons would not be too much, if only to get the trates down. Have you checked your pH? The twitching behavior could be indicative of parasites. Have you seen other symptoms of ich (white spots)?

    Trigger fish buddies

No disrespect intended towards sepulation, (or anyone), but I have to chuckle whenever I read that Niger triggers are the most peaceful of the group. As juveniles, they are fairly compatable with many other reef fish. Once they put on some size, they can, and frequently do, exhibit the same...

    My Tank

The copperband is a sensitive fish that IMO, should not be in a newly established tank. Can you post your parameters? With regards to the rock, I'd suggest placing the large pieces on the bottom and and using the smaller pieces for acents on the top. You might also consider moving the rock in...
