    Hurricane = Big Problems!!!

    Hey you guys. I hope you weather the storm out well and that your families and tanks fare well. Offshore80: something that I have done in the past is to put the boat on the trailer where a tree cannot land on it(learned this one the hard way) and take off tires so you don't pop them then fill...

    Hurricane path

    Offshore and all others. Living in Florida I have been through my share of these things and a couple of big ones at that. If there is any chance you are going to get it start buying now and do not wait. Camplacency will get you no where and people will only take advantage of the fact you waited...

    I saw a shark!

    Those cudas are everywhere down there. What they are capable of is spooky. Was never scared of one till a couple of months ago when I was by myself looking for lobster and not paying attention to anything else. Looked up and the biggest one I have ever seen was right there. I won't say I was...

    we caught one in the atlantic about 4 inches and put in his reef tank. Never messed with anything and ate like a pig. Was neat but kinda stuck to the glass till food was in tank. It grew fast though if that matters and they get several feet long. It was neat though. Rich

    Cindy I set my tank up in april. As far as heaters go I have yet to use it but this winter it will be going into my sump. It gets quite a bit colder here than where you live though I think. Alot of people do keep there chillers in other rooms or even outdoors. Just design it into your...

    ok, sorry but you guys are confusing me! (lighting)

    Cindy I would not run out and get it. The only nice thing about getting it right now is you can plumb it into the tank when plumbing everything else. I think if you want the hard corals and clams(any of them) then the 3 250 watt halides are your best bet. Unfortunately everything is a trade...

    ok, sorry but you guys are confusing me! (lighting)

    I will edit previous post. I meant tank shot up to 88 not 78. 78 is where it normally stays. I am not trying to argue with you. I also believe alot of poeple can and do get away without chillers but realistically for Cindy's setup and where she lives I believe a chiller would be a sound...

    Please identify coral

    No problem on the help. I hope it comes back for you. HTey are a beautiful coral. Joe I think the coral you are referring to is a goniapora. they look very similar but the goniapora has 24 petals on the polyps instead of 12 like on the alveapora. Rich

    Please identify coral

    If nothing is touching it and it has a little space I would quit moving it around. It could actually stress it out more by moving it around too much than by having it in a less than desireable spot. Just give it some time. Rich
