Tired of messing with my sea clone and am looking into buying a Euro reef skimmer. Euro Reef's web site acts like the new es series is just as good as the cs series but at a reduced price. Are they just as good? What are your opinions? Rich

Temp should be ok because we have tons of them here in the summer time and water temp is not cold. I think I just saw a dive report bottom temp of 80 degrees. Don't know about keeping them in aquarium though. Would be neat if you could catch 2 or 3 around 6 inches and try. Rich

I scooped my shrimp out with a net because it desintegrated like yours did. So if you can I would try and scoop the rest out. I would not think it would extend your cycle much either way. Rich

I had just the opposite problem and found my SG was too high. What I did was was remove one gallon of tank water and ad one fresh every day for a week and it slowly came down. I would say the only thing to do is wait. You might want to have a lfs check your water for you to see if your test kits check out. Just an idea. Rich

I would say to get ready for coral a bare minimum is to get a test kit for calcium and alkalinity. Alot of people suggest the b-ionic 2 part system to get your levels where they need to be. You could also look into magnesium and strontium. HTH Rich

What are the odds you could use high powered pendants hung a little higher than you would normally hang them. Like say 2 1000 watters hung 3-4 above? Maybe build a couple small end cabinets one with some kind of sump the other with a closed loop pump. If someone could figure out a way to do it...

Just prep a bunch of new water so you can do small water changes while your tank finishes its cycle. The percs should be hardy enough to handle a small ammon and nitrite spike as long as it is held under control. Just keep an eye on your level and change out some water as needed. Hope everything...
