    what size tank?

I don't know about your specific puffer, but I do know that puffers are known for nipping at fins. Your banded shark would be his favorite target The puffer might not be the right fit. Again, I don't know about this specific puffer though. Sharks and rays have a hard time with aggressive...

Achillies tang and Blue hippo tang

I have the a similar question. I do have a larger tank, 240 gal at 8ft long which is still cycling, and already a blue hippo and 2 yellow tangs in a 120 gal that will be switched over the the 240. Is this tank large enough to house another tang, like a sailfin?

    New Fish

lyretail anthia, maybe one male and a few females. And your tang is of the paracanthurus family, a yellow tang is of the zebrasoma family. Tangs from different families should get along. Also, some people get away with more than one dwarf angel if they look disimilar. A bicolor angel...

    fishless cycling

Live rock or Live sand, or both would be the first option. I did mine with just live rock and new sand(not live). Taking the old filters off my old tank, and bringing a lot of water from that tank helped speed up the process. 2 weeks into it all the testing has gone ok. Part of my cycling I...

    New tank setup..

I wouldn't be surprised if the puffer and the trigger pick on the lion. The Bluethroat Trigger is a little bit less aggressive, or possibly the niger trigger. I don't know the puffers too well but I have heard of them picking on lionfish. If you are looking for an eel, my suggestion is the...

    stocking 125 fowlr Q's

Right on with the trigger. Leave that one out. Unless you want to go aggressive. That is the direction I would go if you don't want to spend the money on a great light system that you would need for the anemones. I am a big fan of either the fairy wrasse or the lyretail anthia which I...

filter for 75 gallon tank ???

I wouldn't say it is easier to install than the hang on, but it is easier to maintain. It isn't like it is difficult or anything. You actually have more options with what type of media you put in a canister. If it is going to be your only filter I would suggest the first layer be the ceramic...

filter for 75 gallon tank ???

SWF doesn't like the use of other sites on their message board. But it starts with an E. The description title of these filters reads exactly "Canister filter uses Eheim 2028 filter pads". And if you shop around the Eheim is a pretty good filter.

    blue/green chromis... aggressive or community?

To help cycle I am pulling water out of my old tank, putting new filters on old tank and bringing the old filters onto new tank. I have extra LR in old tank to bring over and I am buying probably another 50lbs of rock. So really the only new part of the tank is the new sand, bad part is is...

That is exactly what mine does, to the point he has to wiggle out backward to get out. Good pics by the way.

    blue/green chromis... aggressive or community?

Are these a good fish to cycle in a new tank. I don't like damsels because the majority of them get aggressive and turn ugly when they age. The green chromis is still relatively cheap. I got the tank going and I am putting the LR in this weekend. It is a 240 gal. so I was thinking a large...

    hide and seek hippo tank??

I have had my blue hippo for a long time now. He did that all the time into the coral. He stills does it now when scared. Just like the movie Finding Nemo, whats it called, Dariah? The most scared and stupid fish in my tank. Beautiful colors though.

filter for 75 gallon tank ???

I have 3 canisters. I bought all three from that "auction site". 2 are the same brand and I would suggest these over the 3rd which is a Jebo. The seller of the 2 I would suggest is called "Bad-dog" and his "auction site" store is called "Aquatics by KR". Look into it. You would only need...

I am sorry to contradict, but I have a 120 gal that is 60" long. It is an All Glass tank that is called the 120 High. If it was 125 gal, the standard there is 72" long.

    Stocking ? for a 210g fowlr

If it is a long tank, go with the shark. The ray will need a wide tank. Don't get either if it is a tall tank. To tell you the truth, I think that might be a bit expensive. I got my 240 gal on that auction site brand new for $400. The stand $450, canopy $300. I had to stain the wood...

How to clean sand. And a few other Q's

A couple of mexican turbos snails will do you fine. I had a friend that did get away with bleaching dead coral, but he also had plenty of live rock to keep the fish happy.
