    what is/was your first car

That's too funny. Mine made a whistling noise as I drove down the road. All my friends knew when I was getting close. It didn't have power steering or power brakes so whenever I would go to park, I would really have to fight the steering wheel to get into a space. As much as I hated that...

My first truck was an '88 Ford Ranger with a 2.0 liter 4 cyl. I topped it out at 87 mph going down a steep hill with a stiff wind at my back, lol.

    Uncured rock

Oh, one other thing, did you scrub off the dead stuff when you got it? You may loose a few things, but it will help speed up the curing process.

    Uncured rock

I cured some live rock that I got from a website a little over a month ago. It took exactly two weeks for it to cure. I think most of the time you can expect it to take 1 - 3 weeks, depending on the amount of die off.

Keep an eye on the water parameters and when they get back down to 0, you can add it to you display tank.

new firefish hiding?????? is this normal?????

I would continue to feed them. Just make sure you don't do it every hour to try to get them to come out. That could eventually ruin your water quality. They probably just need a little time to settle in.

I don't know if it will eat it or not, but the anemone may sting the mushroom.

new firefish hiding?????? is this normal?????

Give them a little time and they should come out of hiding. TNT as for you, have you looked around the stand to make sure he didn't jump out? Firefish are jumpers and I lost mine through a small opening on the back of the tank where the hang on back fixtures go.

Have you checked to make sure your test kit is accurate? Maybe take a sample of water to the LFS and have them check it for you.

    Damn Skilter!

I fitted mine with a limewood airstone and it is quiet and produces a lot of waste. I still don't think it is as good as a "real" skimmer.

    Protein skimmers

I have a skilter also. I had to fit it with an airstone and now it gets a lot gunk out of the water.

I am looking at getting the Aqua C Remora. I ordered a coralife super skimmer and sent it back because it took up so much room inside my tank. I have heard great things about both though.
