You buy that huge rock in eye it and buy it basically to frag it and sell it... its easy to frag... a very hard coral... and pretty nice looking... i bought 1 polyp from a local reef club member for $15.00 it already is producing a baby.

Good start, but like another member i had the same thought "to much to fast" some of those corals should be added to established tanks.

You may need to buffer it untill you get your calcium and alk under control.

I picked up a bubble coral today and when i got it home it has what i think is 1 or 2 smalle tulip anenomes.... I first thought they were zoos because green and slightly redish.. but the ends of the "feelers" seem to be slightly bubble tipped.. but not like a bubble tip anenome.. and this thing...

I would get more light and more rocks.. You have the same lighting i do on my 55, and i think its barely enough. :thinking:

kalkwasser actually stabalizes calcium it doesnt raise it a cheap alternative to kalkwasser is lime water... Buy some Pickeling Lime powder mix it with water and let it sit 24 hours... once the water is completely clear and the powder is all at the bottom take the water our... you might want to...

Urchins reef safe or not, have the chance to bull doze over your corals... Just keep an eye on that.. Congrats on the nice urchin though!

Hell ya mine love nori sheets to...they actually climb up the glass after them and climb on the clip then the algae untill it falls to the ground then devour it.. I came home 1 day and saw 15-20 of them in the middle real close and i thought right away a fish had died and they were eating it...

The reason for not doing it is, the more water you remove the more benifical bacteria you remove... Remember that cycle? part of that was letting the bacteria multiply..

How much current do you have in the tank? Does the pipe fish do ok with the current? I thought they couldnt handle strong currents.
