are you sure he is dead. cleaner shrimp have the ability to molt. usually when they are introduced into a new enviroment the will shed and then hide until the feel safe again. look around for him in the tank he might still be in there. am3gross

yeah i use io and im not for sure how high the calcium level is in io. i thought about changing to the oceanic sea salt as i have heard alot of good things.what salt do you use viper_930.is io high in calcium or do you know? sorry for all the questions however the help is greatly apprciated...

has anybody ever used this stuff from kent marine. it says it wil raise my calcium level whick is what i need as my level is at 360. just want to know about others experiance before i put this in my tank. thanks am3gross

i dont knoe if i would do it. if you do do it make sure you test the water before you actually use it. im sure there is some kind of impurities in it thou. let us know what you decide. am3gross

if your planning on qt fiah then yes the strip light will be just fine. fish really dont have lighting requirements. am3gross

my calcium is at 360. i know it should be higher. how do i get it higher. i add the kent calcium buffer tech a and b. is there something else i should be adding or are my corals just using it all up? any and all help appreciated. am3gross

you might check for phosphates. are you using ro water or tap. you might want to test the source of the water. i had a big problem with hair algae. tried everything to get rid of it. lawnmower blenny, tangs, water changes, sea hares...... but this is what i figured out. i used tap water for 1...

yes the only differance in them is the stripe in my opionion. i have both in 2 different tanks. the pretty much act the same way. around feeding time they both get excitedand come up to the top and splash around. its so cool.
