    Trigger ponderings/pics

I've got a Huma and a Niger in my tank. The niger is the bigger of the two. But the huma is by far more aggressive in nature. When it comes to feeding none of the fish in my tank are shy. Everyone goes for everything, for which I'm grateful. I've had the huma for about a year and a half...

    Heniochus in a Reef Tank

Hmmmm, as I guessed. Not a strong opinion either way. My concern is that with the two most available species being so close that I have a good chance of getting a reef destroyer. Back to the drawing board:confused:

    Heniochus in a Reef Tank

Has anyone had any good experiences with a Heniochus in a reef tank? Tank size? Tankmates? Research indicates some may do great while others may attack sessile inverts.

    Help needed on design

Try doing a search on broomer5's sump design. That's kinda what DVS is referring to. Or broomer if you're around post your famous pics. Great design and can be modified for any size system.

    New fish die fast

The ph of distilled water, and r/o for that matter is close to neutral 7.0. Our saltwater friends are used to 8 to 8.2. Such a drastic change would be fatal to our fish if it happened all at once. Good freshwater (ie. no chlorines or chloramines) with common baking soda can work as a...

    AGA Twin Flow ?

Two thoughts. 1. Do you have the drain on the opposite side of the sump from the return? 2. Add a 90 on the intake of your return pump to pull water from the bottom of the tank if possible. As wamp said baffling will help a great deal as well. Good luck!

Where to put Overflow in New tank?

Here's Ocea's website where you can find more information. My LFS has several custome tanks by them. Excellent workmanship and they'll give you what you want. By the way they're not affiliated with Oceanic. http://www.ocea.com/aquariums.htm (mods please note: They do not sell to the public...

Hey snakes. Yep, he's pretty much with the hammer all the time. he used to spend the day time with the hammer and sleep in a bubble. Go figure. I've moved the bubble and now he spends all his time with the hammer. Feeds it every other day or so. Too cute how he'll take food and try to...

Hey, it's after 12 someplace in the world right?:) Here's the new colt I picked up this week. Kip, thanks with the placement thoughts. It seems happy where it's at. I decided to "bounce" water off the glass toward it instead of full stream.
