my ebo jager has always been set at about 82 but the water stays around 80. have had it for two years so im about to replace it soon i figure its safer to replace a 20$ of equipment now and then instead of having it age, wear out and possibly stick on and boiling my tank.

im about to order a retro for my 55 that is 48inches long is it better to order the 46.5 inch bulbs that will fit with endcaps inside the canopy or go with 48inch bulbs that with endcaps is 48 5/8 and make the canopy alittle wider. also i havent made my canopy as of yet. do i need any spacing...

i dont know if its ever occured in saltwater tanks because of all the water movement but i know in stagnent or slow moving water theres a flesh eating bacteria that makes some pretty nasty wounds. saw some pics of it in a fishing magazine the stuff ate half of the guys hand up.

well im gonna need the room as soon as i add the overflow for a diy sump. ill have a sponge on the overflow outlet and possibly dump it into a 100micron filter sock before it goes into the sump and ill find a media bag to throw some carbon in there.
