I don't know how hermit crabs do with triggers, but I had the same problem and put in about 10 blue leg hermits in my 30 and they had the major stuff gone almost overnight and then a week later the tank looked spotless! BTW, how would tangs and snails not get along? I have never heard of that.

I would do a search for coralline algae. I know there has been a TON of posts on this topic. Your alkalinity level is important as well. I don't know too much about this, since I am a newbie. Search the posts, you will find the info you need.

If you only need 70 to 90, I would buy it locally. Price per bag may be cheaper online, but shipping will kill you.

I know Asterina is the species name and I have no other specific information. There is a picture of one in the Sept '02 edition of TFH on page 77 in the bottom right corner.

If you need a ton of it, do what Eddie G did, but if not, buy it from a LFS. You can order a 40 or 50 pound bag on the internet, but shipping will be an arm and a leg.

I put about 6 bristle worms two or three weeks ago into my tank and I haven't seen them since. Could they be dead or should I not expect to see them much?
