thanks.. all i recently added some live sand on top of the hoem depot quikcrete play sand..... (btw i didnt have any probs with the home depot play sand..just wanted to see if i could seed itquikly with some live sand) i purchased a few bags of arag carib sand from the lfs.. i grabbed the bags...

indeed i just added a few bags of live arg sand on top of my home depot play sand... this time i lowered the entire bag and slowly poured it all over.. its coming along nicely except for the noobie mistake i made...... the home depot play sand is alot darker then the arag live sand... the arag...

looks nice i used the regular tan/yellow play sand from home depot and it looks great.. i do however have to manually turn it over atleast once ever 2 days... it doesnt help that my tank is in direct sunlite either... i just added a bag of live sand on top today as well....

hey i have a 150 fowlr my fish only seem to hover around the right upper corner of the tank...this is normally where i feed them.. is there anyway i can get them to be a little more active and pleasing to the eye instead of just waiting in the feeding location all day long?

i used home depot quikcrete play sand (3 dollars per 50 lb bag) and i have not regretted it. all of my levels are fine and have been fine an dmy tank looks beautiful. make sure u rinse it thoroughly ( i made the mistake of not rinsing ) an dmy tank was a mudbath for a few days b4 finally clearing.

my trigger is a bursa trigger but looks just like that.. i get them all confused my trigger is about 3 inches and the blennie is about 2 inches.. it keeps biting at it.

hardly anything great, however still willing to share my tank foto 150 fowlr

excellent pix i have same trigger and same blennie do your trigger bite at and harass your blennie? i just got the blennie yesterday and the trigger is harassing it like crazy

thanks.. i really appreciate it... its amazing at how clear everything is when just last week or so the tank looked like a mudbath ! it sux that im rite near a patio entryway and thus sunlite all day long.. would a better cleanup crew do anything for me? rite now i just have a bunch of small...

nah i understand.. i checked the silicates.. everything was fine (1 week ago).. will check again this monday. :) any ideas on how i can prevent algae due to direct sunlite?

how do i successfully prevent green algae growth.. the tank is right next to a patio sliding door with direct sunlight daily...

thanks! the lfs guy told me it was an undulatinous trigger.. i didnt believe him... i them searched around the net lookin for a picture.. th ehumu humu was the closest... but im glad to finally find out the true species.

i am b y no means an expert but when i had CC nothing seemed to clean up the substrate like i wanted it to.. snails didnt do it neither did the hermits maybe slugs will work? i dont know?
