It works great, it's just pre calibrated. If it gets out of whack, you can always recalibrate it. Great item, had mine for a year w/no problems.

Thanks, I think we're saying the same thing. The float valve will stop the flow of water, the RO unit's shutoff valve will sense the extra pressure and stop the unit. If that's what you're saying, all I need to do is install a float valve on the trash can and I'm set. Does that sound right...

Ok, thanks. Forgive me if I sound ignorant, but I have no experience with sumps, should I modify it at all, or if I'm not integrating a fuge in it, can I just leave it as an open tank with the skimmer, heaters and return in it.

I already have one, so I figure it will add additional water volume and increase the size of the fuge. Should I not worry about adding an additional fuge in the sump, as this seems to be getting complicated for me. Thanks
