    type of catipillar???

probably a bristle worm of some sort. These are USUALLY harmless, detritus eaters, good for the sandbed. Keep an eye on it though, just in case.

I asked this same question in a thread maybe a week ago, and would still like to see some pics of any of you good people that have rock from this site.

    1.something or less nano reef

Hmm, just a thought, but a half gallon refugium won't do much. If you have a little room, and don't mind that it is alot biger than your display, how about a 5 or 10 gallon refuigium? Granted, it sorta defeats the purpose of testing your "skill" as a reefkeeper, but it will make that itty bitty...

Has anyone ever drilled an acrylic tank that's already set up?

Not my tank, but did drill a hole in my sump for a float valve for a top-off system. I just shut the pump off and drained some water out. And if a few flakes of plastic get in the tank, don't worry about it too much, the whole tank is made of that plastic anyways, just make sure you don't let...

    RF Interferance

try putting one or the other on a different power circuit if you can. Powerheads aren't really very quiet as far as RF goes.

    HOLY COW...What is this ?!?!?!?!?!?!

I have seen a small critter that looked like a little clam crawling around on a piece of my live rock. It had stuck out of its jointed end something that looked like a foot I assume, and it did have 2 shells, like a tridacna clam. For a long time it just stayed in one spot, then one day I saw it...

    HOLY COW...What is this ?!?!?!?!?!?!

Most likely a filter feeding bivalve mollusc that hitch-hiked in on a piece of live rock.

what Kalkwasser mix do you use ?

The wal-marts around here have the pickling lime with the home canning supplies, which at the walmart I went to was near where the rubbermaid storage containers and kitchen trashcans is.

Flow rate into bulk head ????

Sorry, I just reread your post and you say you only have a 1/2" return? That DOES seem a tad small, and a mag 7 also seems a tad small for a 90 gallon as well. You need at least 10 times tank size turnover, if not 15-20 really. I have a 65 with a pump that pushes 1000 gallons per hour, and am...

Flow rate into bulk head ????

this is an easy one. Turn your return pump off, and just pour freshly made saltwater into the tank and it will drain down into your sump to within maybe a couple inches of the top. This way when power fails, you have a bit of breathing room. Just rememebr to take some water out of the system...

what Kalkwasser mix do you use ?

I just got back from Wal-Mart with 2 16 oz cans of Balls pickling lime, paid 50 cents per can. Sort of an impulse buy though, I dunno how long this stuff keeps. Hopefully I'll be able to get it used before it goes bad.

    Anemonie (?) on my LR!

It could be aiptasia, regarded as a pest in this hobby. Easily killed with an injection of kalkwasser. But without pics of it, its hard to be certain.

Got a big refugium and lots of space above it? If so, try a mangrove.
