I thought I would share a few pics of the stand/canopy I built for my 180. It's not finished as of yet, but I did put water, rock, and sand in it to start the cycle process. The majority of rock you see in the tank is homemade, by the way.

:help: Please take a look at my sump design and let me know of any problems you see in my engineering. As you can see, it's for a 180 gal tank. Not shown is a mag 36 used for my closed-loop system. Thanks for your input!!!!

I have a 120 gal reef-ready tank and DIY stand w/canopy for sale in Annapolis, MD. $600 o.b.o. (Note: tank & stand only ... no livestock, lights, pumps, etc...)

I've been a part of SWF and in this hobby for a little over a year, and realized I really haven't shown any pics of my tank (current 120). As long as everyone doesn't mind a little green (a direct result of my stupidity from using tap water up until 5 months ago... but I'm slowly gaining ground...

My problem is my new tank is 7' long. I'm undecided if I am going to use 3 or 4 250w MH's (w/3 or 4 110 Actinic VHO). 3 doesn't quite cover the "2' rule", but 4 is a bit too much (if you can actually have TOO much light)... and it has me concerned about heat problems.

What is this thing???? Is it the latest pic from the Hubble Space Telescope?:confused: Is it what a person sees after going to a Pink Floyd concert?:notsure: Or is it a pic of the 4 week old meat loaf in my refrigerator?

Does anyone know if Pavestone's "High Desert Sand" reef-safe? Seems this is the only sand HD is carrying now. It even has the same SKU# as Old Castle's (Southdown's) "Tropical Play Sand".

I'm upgrading to a 270 gal tank, and would love to get a large Angel that was reef safe. The Majestic would be perfect, but I've read conflicting reports concerning their compatibility w/reef type set-ups. Has anyone here had success keeping this Angel in a reef?
