The only good use i've found for a Seaclone is, with a few modifications, it'll make a good bong.:thinking:

We live in IL too and couldnt get old castle or south down either, but a brand that is available is Mississippi Lime Calcium Carbonate. Mississippi Lime makes everything from cement to gravel to sand.

This sounds kind of silly... but what exactly do snails and crabs eat? We want to add some snails and crabs, but we dont have much of anything growing but a little bit of hair algae, some brown algae and live rock. Will they have enough to live off of?

Okay instead of buying all live rock we bought 20#s live and 30#s base for our tank. The tank has just cycled.
