Your rock looks great. What type is it ?You're doing it right nice and slow.You will have to put something in to start the cycle like some fresh shrimp or some put fish food in.

My tank has been up and running for 3 years now with many different inverts.I never added iodide and have not lost one in the last 2 years.If you take more stock in the LFS why come here for help?

How long have you been keeping condi's with your PC?Are all your bulbs 10,000k's or actinic mix?Sounds like the same setup i have but didn't want to try it if it was going to die off.I also read here that you need high lighting.

I'm looking for suggestions for a good heater. I had a Aqua Medic Biotherm 500 watt that lasted a year.I have a 75 gal. saltwater with a 30 gal sump/fuge.

You should wait.There may be die off,witch would cause ammonia spikes.I've learned not to be in a hurry.I know it's hard and you like to see fish in your tank but in the long run you are better taking your time and be sure all levels are stable.

Is Aqua Medic Biotherm heater controller a good make,or is there a better pick?

My went two weeks.When I got it adjusted right I marked the valve with white out so I knew where the sweat spot was.I have yet had to readjust it. I get super dark waste in the cup.I clean the whole skimmer once a month.

refeer75 there is a good LFS in Romeoville. The place is super clean The fish are all juvies and at good prices.

They are growing on the LR,and are about 1 in.in size and are allways out.Also,my Cheato is growing in my fuge after i switched the light.How much of the fuge should i let it cover before i cut it back? :help:
