This is what I was told was a Frogspawn when I bought it. It has done great in my tank. It went from one branch to six or so.

At least I was told it was a frogspawn. I'll upload a picture later. I could have been told one thing and it was something else. It started with one branch and now it has at least six. That is over a three year period.

My 55g has white star polyps, neon green striped mushrooms, colt coral, yellow-brown zoos, hairy mushroom, some other brown/green mushroom & Frogspawn. I have 3 NO 40 watts and 1 NO 30 watt bulbs.

A buffer would not help. It would probably make it worse. Test your water chage water. If is of a lower PH. Begin frequent small water changes until the pH comes down.

I would suggest a water change. I wish I had your problem. I can't keep my PH above 8.0

City water. I use Aquarium Pharm Tap Water Filter to filter the water.

Yes. Before the salt the ALK is 3 dKh and the PH is around 7.5 to 7.7 depending onthe test. When I add the salt and aeriate the PH doesn't move but the ALK goes to around 6 dKH.

I have been having the same problem only I can't keep my PH up because my ALK was high. You will have that problem eventually if the ALK continues to stay high then all the buffer in the world will not raise your PH. My understanding is that the if the water used for changes is mixed corrected...

Stop using any buffers and begin doing small water changes until the ALK lowers to an acceptable level. The level should be arounf 10 to 12 dkh.

Thanks for that information!. I use the Aquarium Pharmaceutical tap water filter. I am glad to see that it does that good of a job.
