Here is a pic. I read that its ok as long as it says roasted or dried:
Nori is natural seaweed that is roasted or dried, and believe it or not is actually a human food consumption item used in oriental cooking. Nori is sold under many different names, just look for roasted or dried seaweed on the package.

Well, this is taking forever lol. The shrimp won't leave me alone on this side! I almost have all the sand out on that side. ;) and 15g of water with it so far. Needless to say, the ro/di is on full speed ahead!!
Will update later.

Thing is when they roast, they usually roast with sesame seed oil. That's not good for our tanks...
Be sure to taste it first luv. I wouldn't want anything happening to your beautiful tank.

Well, it doesn't state that on the package. And for ingredients is just says seaweed. Wouldn't they state that it is roasted with oil? I already fed them a piece anyway. See what I mean? That's the only kind I can find around here.

Okay, all the sand on the right is out. And...I got another delivery today ;), wasn't supposed to get it until tomorrow so now I can change out the filter media and add new fine filter pads when the hubby gets home. Don't know if I will get to add the new fiji pink sand tonight or not...

all of the roasted I have ever bought was roasted over a fire.. literally.. ive seen them make it...
and its not even seaweed, its algae put on a screen and left to dry thats why it looks all mish moshy...
they SHOULD say if they have used oil but most that are in japanese or korean wont translate it into english on the sticker for the packaging... just have to taste.. and truthfully Ive only recently bought the dried nori, if I havent seen them 'roast' it myself...

Well, I guess I will not feed them anymore of it since I don't know for sure. Oh well, I got some h2o life algae sheets on the way for them..;) Just hope I can get them to eat it. Last time I tried, they wouldn't.

I LOVE NORI!!! mmmmm especially since I love Maki sushi (rolls)
I dont prefer to eat it by itself as MANY japanese and koreans do, but then again I am white so I wasnt raised on it (but I wish my dad was stationed in Okinawa when I was little so I could have been!)

Ok, OK...I tasted it. Yuck!!!
It taste like dry grass or something lol.
No other flavor. So, I guess its ok to feed it to the fish. And they can have it....

My nitrates are still hanging at 15-20, so I have been thinking about doing a sump on this tank. Maybe. I think the Eshopps overflow box will do it for me, and a 40g breeder tank for the sump. (I believe that is the size of tank that fits my stand). But I wonder about the return? And when the electric goes out, should i be concerned about flooding my living room? I am just thinking out loud here, so any input is appreciated. I am just kicking around the idea right now....

Luv - I'm in a world of hurt as well... I just found out I have red bugs... and I'm freaking out. I have such an attachment to my tank I'm taking deep breaths and trying to go and tackle this tonight after my 13 hour shift.

That's an easy fix Sip. Interceptor treatments. Only one problem at the moment lol. The company hasn't produced it in about a year. They say they will be starting to soon, but there is no exact date. In the meantime, you can dip your acros with coral dip to help until then. It will be ok my friend. ;)

I have been dipping acros to be informed that revive doesn't work on red bugs... upset was I.
I had a hell of a time looking for an interceptor but I was able to get some in the end now I'm on a mission to save my 5 shrimps and whatever hermits that I can find. It's alot of work ahead of me and I'm already dreading it...

I have seen them come off the coral after dipping with seachem coral disinfectant. Also, I have always QT'd new stuff and treated with interceptor as a prophylactic....Make up some new water for a 20% change, and remember it will be ok sip. ;)
