My tank has a canopy and covered glass except for the very front. So he would have to swim to the top of the very front and jump out. I find it unlikely, but you never know.
I checked all at the back of my tank and on the ground and he wasnt there. Checked to see if he jumped and landed on the top, wasn't there. Checked the whole perimiter of my tank, not there.
This is really confusing me.. I kind of felt around with the net behind the rocks and in the sand and he wasn't there. I just want to make sure hes at least in the tank!
P.S. thanks for the support jerth!
Not a pro bro. I hate the feeling of lost fish! I have found my McCoskers down my over flow more then once.... Never in the 90 yet though..... I hope he comes out soon!!!!

Haha i love wrasses! Id love to have a leopard wrasse but heard they're really really hard.
Mushroom question:
I had a big happy red mushroom.. that is now getting smaller and kind of wilting. Its on a rock with about 5 other mushrooms, can I pick him off and move him to another rock? Or is there a special procedure for this or what?

It would be pointless to move the whole colony. Unless you mean individually.
There are too many mushrooms on there and two are like RIGHT on top of eachother and are wilted.
One of them is close to palm sized when fully opened but it doesnt fully open and when it does its on top of all the other mushrooms and its crinkled.

sometimes you can peel them off, but dont worry, if the mushroom is unhappy, it will detach by its self and float around until it gets caught somewhere else. If it detached, just net it, get a shallow cup or bowl, fill with sand or rock rubble and set it in a low flow area. it will attach and you can glue it somewhere else.

Ok, thanks! will do
So my tank came with the metal halides (as you know) and then it also came with ARO T12 96 VHO bulbs. I was going to order some to make my corals look good, but wanted to make sure they would? Would these still make them look good? I dont wanna order it and then it not look much different.

My MH are 14000k I believe. Someone recently talked me out of vhos and said I should get HO t5s. What do you think?
Found this deal: GLO ballast with 2 t5 HO 54W bulbs, 1mo old, one is giesemann actinic other is 6.5k spectralux. $60
Someone told me if I'm looking for actinic, I should replace the 6.5k with a 420-460nm bulb.
Just want my corals to pop! Don't look to great right now with just MH.

Honestly, I have no idea what to do.. I'm I can find LEDs under $200 I could do that. If you guys know a good place to get LEDs I'd be up for that? I just want my corals to look good haha.

Got my metal halide bulb in! Now I just am trying to decide on a light (thanks traveler)
I'm getting an algae outbreak :( I dont think its red, its like a really dark red, basically looks purple. Should I syphen it out, net it out, water change, what?

no problem... glad to see that you're lighting system is complete for now. Post a pic of the algae because I think that there's a chance its macro- beneficial.
