New 56g tall tank

Correct the water would simply back up and all of it would divert to the skimmer if you have your drain split. But if you have two drain lines one from each bulkhead if I'm reading you right then water would just back up in the pipe and not drain from that line at all if you have it closed. I would start by trying to adjust the little tube in the bulkhead first. And then slowly closing the valve a little bit Untill you find the sweet spot of still having the water drain while having less traped air in the pipe causing the gurgling. You may not be able to illuminate it completely but find something you can live with.

Thanks...I will do that. It is a single line split with a Y connector.
YAYYY...closing the valve worked great, it's almost a silent system...just a little trickle sound of water...like a running creek...beautiful. Thanks for all your help.

I ordered the Atlantis Seahorse...$10.98 after delivery. I didn't have to get a pump that I thought I had to so I went ahead and got it. I want to post my new tank in the Oct contest, and that ornament will look great. The brown algae stage is over and it's looking pretty happy. I have started adding coral.
Thanks Teresa!

HEY/.....How about a picture with your NEW coral LOL
Wait for the contest, so hopefully it will get some votes instead of it being just the same old tank, it will be new and interesting...I didn't realize my thread doesn't have the picture of the SH ornament....so I'm posting it here.

I think I have been ripped off. I ordered that Atlantis seahorse ornament and I never heard back...it wasn't very expensive but I really wanted the piece. Maybe I can order it from some other place...Folks beware of a place called Paradise pet supply....I ordered it on Oct 7 and I even sent them a few e-mails and got no response back.

Flower I just went to the webpage and it's closed down. It says they are under going a new ownership and website change. The new name is going to be Xtreme Pet Supply. May be a case of bad timing here.

I like eBay!!!
I don't care for eBay...they make you remember some stupid username that I can never remember...LOL I must have 5 eBay accounts......I wrote it down the last time. It cost me $7.00 more than what I paid to Paradise pet supply,,,,but I purchased it anyway, I'm hoping that ornament will look good with the columns. I also got my Ehiem 1000 pump today...so I'm all set to hook up my chiller and get my tank all finished.
I need to get another couple of little fish since I lost my yellow gobies. I don't want babies, so I don't want the little stripe ones Meowzer got. How many little yellow clown gobies can go together in a 56g SH tank anyway???? I would love to have about 4 or 5, they are so tiny but I don't want to stress the horses either.

This is looking good sounds as if your having troubles with that paradise pet supply like we had eBay. We ordered 5 packs of fish food we waited two months then when it came (after several phone calls to eBay and the user) it was off and inedible for the fish. We never got our money back.

Well I guess the seahorse ornament is not to be.....Paradise pet supply fell through...so I ordered it from eBay, and I just got a message from Paypal, they refunded my money, seems their last one was borken.
I did order another power head, I need more flow.
An Ehiem 600 compact pump and a hydor flow rotating water deflector that is made to fit it. I wanted the wave effect instead of a jet streeam, but I didn't want something the horses could hitch to and hurt their tail.

Update: Finally I removed the canister filter and set up the chiller...the inline heater WOULD work except I used the ribbed hose and it leaks, so I took it off. The chiller is up and running, the spray bar is working fine with it. I used the Eheim 1001...317 gph. The max for the chiller is 315gph but I know I lost some push from the length of the hose so it should be fine. Eheim pumps have a flow regulator and I can always tone it down, right now it's on max.
The cyano is for the most part gone, there are a few tiny specks here and there but it should be gone 100% soon. I added another Ehiem pump, and attached a hydor flo rotating water deflector to it. That way I have a nice wave flow, instead of a jet stream without having to worry about the horses hitching to it and hurting their tails like on a Koralia type. Wouldn't you know it...yep, first thing the horse did was go check it out.
The pink star polys I got from Meowzer have started attaching to the rock around it already...it's a little closed up right now from me messing with the tanks. I plan to replace the plastic plants with some macos...not right now. I'm concidering putting the Kenya tree back into the tank. Comments?
Here he is with his tail hitched on the stem, just before the rotator gizmo...

You can see some red on the pillars, that's all that is left.

Pink star polyps coming out....Thank You Meowzer! See below it, where it is spreading to the rock..

Full tank shot...excuse the dirty glass
