Update: Finally I removed the canister filter and set up the chiller...the inline heater WOULD work except I used the ribbed hose and it leaks, so I took it off. The chiller is up and running, the spray bar is working fine with it. I used the Eheim 1001...317 gph. The max for the chiller is 315gph but I know I lost some push from the length of the hose so it should be fine. Eheim pumps have a flow regulator and I can always tone it down, right now it's on max.
The cyano is for the most part gone, there are a few tiny specks here and there but it should be gone 100% soon. I added another Ehiem pump, and attached a hydor flo rotating water deflector to it. That way I have a nice wave flow, instead of a jet stream without having to worry about the horses hitching to it and hurting their tails like on a Koralia type. Wouldn't you know it...yep, first thing the horse did was go check it out.
The pink star polys I got from Meowzer have started attaching to the rock around it already...it's a little closed up right now from me messing with the tanks. I plan to replace the plastic plants with some macos...not right now. I'm concidering putting the Kenya tree back into the tank. Comments?
Here he is with his tail hitched on the stem, just before the rotator gizmo...
You can see some red on the pillars, that's all that is left.
Pink star polyps coming out....Thank You Meowzer! See below it, where it is spreading to the rock..
Full tank shot...excuse the dirty glass
