Awesome Rick!! Yea maybe you should take three months to get all the fish in first lol.

I tend to agree. In reality, I don't mind if the sapphire damnsel goes in after the tang. Just as long as it has a nice, long QT period. Say, 4 years.

Taking a break from house cleaning. Chicken Chili has almost reached optimum consistency. Avengers is queued up in the DVD. I'll go check on the fish in a few minutes and see if I can get some pics.

Yep, a good day. Although personally I would have been happier finding a new female African Leopard Wrasse. :-( Still seriously bummed about that fish, she was so pretty.
I am glad Michelle found her perfect tang though.
I'm not a huge fan of veggie chili, but I have had a few bowls that I like. I don't like when people try to substitute meat with eggplant. A little eggplant is OK, but a bunch.....nope. Not a fan.

This bugger seems to know when the camera is about to go off.....

He seems to like the "root" system of the C. prolifera macros. He's been chomping on them since he came home.

What were you doing up so late?? Hope you got at least a LITTLE sleep!
The PBT was looking good this AM when I left for work. He does have a few white spots which I'm sure are ich related, but there was never any question of NOT hypo-ing this fish anyway. I'll be starting that tonight most likely, dropping it just a little at a time.

It's a gorgeous fish. Have you ever thought of doing the tank transfer method? Supposedly, it is more effective and less traumatic.

I don't know how I missed this! That is a beautiful fish! Hope the hypo cures him. If I ever get rid of my yellow tang, this might be a fish I choose. Good choice! :t^:

Hmmmm...how have I never heard of this before?? Sounds like an interesting notion, but I don't know if I feel like "experimenting" with a fish that's such a known ich magnet. Besides, since he HAS to be in QT for at least 2 months anyway....might as well hypo the whole tank anyway and kill off any possible ich nodules.

I would NOT take chances with that fish. As you said, they are ick magnets.

Yep. Hypo started last night, with 2 gallons removed and replaced. I'll be bringing the salinity down (and up, of course) fairly slowly. Fish seems pretty healthy so far.

I FINALLY sold that frakkin' lathe!!! I had to shout it here, nobody else is around right now.

Other than that, not much has been going on. In a holding pattern, waiting for some specific fish (which aren't showing up on my radar). Been kinda under the weather this past week, plus work kicked my rear in a big way, so I haven't had the energy to do much other than feed the fish, clean the glass, and enjoy the very lightly-stocked tank.

Good job Rick!!!!
Quick question Rick, did I give you any acros?
I just found red bugs in my tank. I'm sure that it's something from what I got from this week but I want to make sure that I didn't give you any.
If you don't have any acros, it will die off on it's own in five days but I want to make sure. I'm treating my tank starting tonight or tomorrow night and if you have acro frags let me know. I will give you some interceptor when you head down to my place on Tuesday.

Nova the PBT looks good.....I've had mine in QT since the end of April.....Actually mine is very intrigued when someone approaches the tank, and heaven forbid you grab the food can......The piggy will pick it right from your hand now......QT and take your time.....
