    Bristle Worms

I would leave them...bristle worms are great natural scavengers and I doubt they would cause any problems. If you start to experience problems later, you could always remove them then. They may look monstrous, but they're really not that bad...

    local pet store tanks question

I agree...any LFS that is actively taking care of its tanks and monitoring its water parameters shouldn't have that much of a problem. Sounds very unprofessional to me. I would recommend doing what many people on this site do who don't have a reputable LFS nearby...buy online! I have bought...

How do you change media on Red Sea Max Plug&Play filter?

I am still not seeing the two long white sticks. Also, once the hood is fully raised, how can you access the filter media as there are two pumps in the way. Do you really have to remove both pumps?

    2 different LFS's 2 different options.....

I would definitely opt for the sump/refugium/protein skimmer setup...no doubt about it.

    Dmyers557 RedSea Max 34g Diary!!!

I also just recently purchased a 34 gallon Red Sea Max and switched everything over from my 29 gallon. I am having difficulty accessing the carbon/filter media, however. Surely, you can change this material...any ideas? By the way, how are you liking the protein skimmer? Mine hasn't been...

How do you change media on Red Sea Max Plug&Play filter?

I just purchased a Red Sea Max 34 gallon Plug & Play. The tank itself was assembled before I purchased it. I am having difficulty accessing the filtration media, however. Does anyone know how to disassemble part of the hood so I can just access the filtration area? Thanks so much!

    1st post...losing snails fast!!!!

If no one is going to comment on the tang, I will....a 24 gallon tank is completely unsuitable for this fish as you mentioned earlier. In my opinion, a 55 gallon tank is the smallest you would want to go and that's even pushing it. I'm not trying to criticize you, as I'm sure you were not...

Ugliest Aquarium Contest - Win $100 order

No, no...that's a good thing. A lot of people don't even make the effort and at least you are seeking out help and researching. We all have our problems in the beginning...it'll all work out.

    Need Help Real Bad!!!!!!!!

My advice, go to another pet shop...these people are obviously giving you poor advice. A rampant yellow tang "stressing" out the other fish to the point of death...possible, but unlikely. I would say the source of your problem is ich and the disease killed all of your fish. As the above...

    What One?

You may also be thinking of Pom Pom Xenia which looks similar to the above picture. I notice, however, that the stalks tend to be shorter than regular xenia and the polyps in closer proximity to one another. I'm not quite sure, but I don't think this site sells Pom Poms, if this is indeed what...

    Salt, Which, Why and Where?

There's a reason why the large aquariums use Instant Ocean...it's the cheapest and still of somewhat high-quality! A twenty dollar difference may not seem like much when you're purchasing for a 100-gallon tank, but imagine how the dollars add up when it's thousands upon thousands of gallons...
