    sand sifting starfish

    i was wondering if this would be a problem for a CC/LS combo.. i know that these are a concern for a DSB substrate... we have approx 1 to 1 1/2" of LS.. do you think that this is a good idea to stir up the sand or should i just stay with the fighting conch? thanks in advance..

    i'm thinking of adding another fish on the collection.. the tank has been stable and seeing algae growth... here are the list of fishes that will added to the tank in this order... 1) blue spot jawfish (probably this week) 2) flame angel or rusty angel (in a month) 3) yellow tang (in 2 months)...

    i also think that you are overstocked? i'm not sure how the rest of your set-up is but you might have some problems with your nitrates coz of too much fishes.. i'm also concerned about the mandarin goby since your tank's only been up to 2-3 months...

    he's got ick all over him and some abrasions on his gills.. he is feeding and digging his burrow.. he even brought new rocks to his home.. i'm going to check him today and hope he's doing better... thanks for the reply though...

    the tank looks great.. i just have a question.. he has 9 fishes in there and no one said anything about overstocking.. he also have a yellow tang in there and no one said that the yellong tang would need a bigger tank.. etc.. etc.... i also have a 55 FOWLR and most of the posts i see here don't...

    pygmy angels in a reef tank?

    Lighiting questions for 46 gallon bowfront

    i don't think 60 watts is going to suffice the light needed to keep an anemone... they require a lot of light atleast 3-5 watts/gallon... i don't see any problem with the chocolate starfish though.. he should be fine... hope this helps...

    FYI

    we bought a lawnmower blenny couple of days ago and when he was acclimating to his new home, he took over the jawfish burrow... then, the jawfish jumped out but fortunately we caught him (around 3 am).. ne-wayz, now the jawfish is sick.. what is recommendation to revive him? i need your help...
