for the percs, you probably have two males right now.. whoever is the dominant will become the female and will be much larger than the other (male)... for the hermits, i say buy some (not 25) empty shells and throw them in the tank.. the hermits will figure this out and as soon as they outgrow...

jawfishes normally dig under rocks so make sure the rock is well established... they also sometimes dig out in the open... our yellowhead digged his burrow beside a rock... his burrow is probably not that big, just enough for him to maneuver... i don't think that they make a tunnel under your...

yes, that's normal... how long have you had him? once established, they are very playful.. they normally come out for feeding... i'm happy to say that i got my blue dot jawfish today and he looked healthy... :D

give him time to settle and everything will go back to normal.. enjoy watching him hover up and down his burrow.. also, it's fun to see him cover his hole at night and destroy it in the morning... :D

yes, thanks... i know that they will need dried algae to be happy... i was wondering more about the algae in the aquarium.. do they feed on the green algae or brown algae?

that's what our reef is.. it's been up and running for 2 years.. :)

once a day works out for me.. i'm sure the fishes will find something to eat in the tank if they're hungy whether it be planktons or algae... make sure your tank is established before you add more fishes.. hope this helps...

i would say get a redlip blenny and a yellow tang... i think that your tank is establish enough to get one.. also, think about a dwarf angel: lemon peel, coral beauty, or flame angel... what about a jawfish? anyway, good luck with the purchase...
