Adding Live sand need quick response please.

As far as it mixing in the tank, it depends on how much flow you have to stir it around. Turn on all your powerheads. But don't get used to mixing it in the tank once you get fish in there, get lots of buckets for that. I would think you could add sand whenever you like, the sand takes a couple...

    135 gal est results

I agree with ophiura, you still need to cycle. Just because it is a big tank, the cycle is to create the good bacteria and maybe you won't see a spike, but you still need the bacteria. I cycled my 110gal and ended up killing a green chromis because I put him in too soon.

I do have a lot of rockwork for the tang, maybe I'll give it a shot. As far as wrasses, I haven't thought of those, they definately swim a lot which is what I want. Thanks for your inputs. matt

    which yellow fish?

actually it's not so much hair algea but green slimey algea, do LMB eat that kind. And it is really bad. It covers the sand the rock and even all of the plants leaves.

    which yellow fish?

Also, my fuge gets covered in hair algea after about a week, I thought the plants were to starve out hair algea. The main tank is clean so I guess it is working. So I thought I would put a LMB in the the fuge, how does that sound? matt

but which is the easiest to care for? Are yellow tangs sensitive to water conditions? Also, SWF.com says lemonpeels are moderate to care for. I'm still kind of new so I need to stick with less sensitive fish. thanks matt

hello, I want to buy a bright yellow fish. I want to know a good one, based on Hardiness, compatibility and so on. Right now, I have a 110gal and a 20 gallon fuge. The only fish is a domino and a red-lip blenny. This website states that a yellow tang is easy to care for but all I read on...

    Bush!!!!

to radioactive and hattrick, Even if Kerry had been elected, we wouldn't be leaving Iraq any sooner. It would still take just as much time to finish the job. I think the U.N. should have done more in the beginning, but they wouldn't, so when your the biggest and baddest sometimes you need to...

    Dead Emerald Crab?

I found my Emerald Crab dead today and I don't know why. I decided to break down my fuge completely so I moved him to the display tank, yesterday. The only things in my display tank are 5 scarlet hermits, 1 domino damsel, 1 red lipped blenny, and a queen conch. I am not sure if any of those...

    Have my damsels mated?

sounds like you have pods, not babies. They are little micro organisms that grow in your tank, they're good, do a search for isopods. matt
