    Lighting Question

The three light setup would work. Suggest 2-03 blue actinic and 1-white actinic. But for the cost of an additional lamp & end caps, I'd go ahead and use the 4 light setup anyway. Add another white actinic. This will give you plenty of light. HTH

Set the QT tank up before bringing home the new arrival. Acclimate to the QT tank. Depending on the situation QT time will vary. I feel that 2-3 weeks is good. Make sure that the new fish is eating and healthy looking. If nothing shows up within this time period. It should be good to go to...

    fish suggestions

Seems that the pygmy angel has staked claim to the tank. This will continue to keep you from adding another fish in my opinion. If you don;t want to give up the angel, maybe it can be fooled. Set up a temporary tank to house the angel. Rearrange the main tank and add the new fish. After a...

URI Bulbs and other Lighting Q's

Sounds like you have a 55 gallon tank. The 6.4 wpg will allow you to have in my opinion anything you want. The URI lights with internal reflector means the lamp will reflect all the output in 180 degrees. Basically all the light is reflected downward as long as thats the way you put the lamp...

I Need MASSIVE HELP w/ Lighting

If you have a canopy, the lights mount to that. If no canopy, you might have to buy or build one. Or you can buy a canopy top. Most companies that sell these sell for all tyoes of aquarium sizes. Measure the length of the tank so that you know which ones you'll need. HTH

Possible to have reef w/ only NO lights?

You can find out which type of corals use low light and you can have those. But corals that require more light will not survive for long. Using NO lighing is not a problem as long as you have the right spectrum and enough lights to get the wattage needed. VHO & PC lighting just gives you more...
