    anthais

Yes and No. As far as the tank size, yes. No, well sort of no is due to the fact that anthias survive better in groups. They are very social fish and school regulary in a tank. Antoher thing to rember about all anthias is their appetite. They are hearty eaters and a good diet is very important...

    CC To Sand

    1. Depends on what your looking for. Live sand would be the best way, or a mixture of Live and plain. 2. Again, depoends on what your looking for. If you would like a deep sand bed, 40-60lbs. If you want a shallow bed 20-40lbs. 3. As already stated, just scoop it out. The one thing I would do is...

this si prolly a dumb question

I had the coraline growing on the back and sides of my old 180. I scrapped the front and thats it. After a while (if conditions are right) you will get coraline growing on top of coraline forming plates. Thats when it really starts to look cool! P.S. I got the most growth of coraline algea using...

    berlin skimmers good or bad?

I have used the Berlin classic for many years. I ran it with a Mag5 pump. I never had any problems with it. Just regular cleaning and emptying the cup. I would recomend the classic to anyone. I have never used the turbo.

    Breaking the rules?

"Inch" per gallon rule is very misleading. Diffrent fish have difrent eating habbits. The more they eat, the more waste they produce, the more waste they produce, the more it tends to build up. I would never suggest someone go by that rule. It is a general rule that is very misleading. In a 40...

lopeyc You have no Idea how happy I am to see that you have taken the time to look up the fish you have and thier needs!!! Seriously!! As I have stated before in other posts, I think a healthy tank is one in which it is cared for, properly maintaned and stocked within reason. It sounds to me...

    Breaking the rules?

lopeyc Did you see the tank a year ago when it was setup? Did you see the livestock was added all at one time? Do you know the last time he bought a fish at the Pet Store? I ask not trying or even going to flame your answers. But, there is a reason for asking. I have been around this board for...

    Breaking the rules?

A tank that size should not have that many fish in it. Nine is actually too many. The long term health is what I wonder about. I'm sure they will live but long term is the question. If you want a monthly tank, than that many fish is fine, but if you truly strive to have a healthy tank, you...
